Shooting Wraps On The Dark Knight Rises

Filming on The Dark Knight Rises has come to an end, meaning that Christopher Nolan will now lock himself away in post-production to knock the final Batman film into shape.

In almost unpredicented ways, the last seven months has seen sneak photos from the sets, leaked footage of fights and flights, and almost daily updates from the streets of London, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles and New York.

That, though, will now come to an end, as Nolan begins the task of editing the film, adding special effects and producing a fitting finale to his Batman trilogy.

The first full-length trailer is expected to be shown before screenings of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, elaborating on the teaser that was released earlier this summer.

The Dark Knight Rises is released on July 20, 2012.
