Zane Lowe To Take Over BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show

Zane Lowe will replace Chris Moyles on the radio's morning show throughout January.

BBC Radio 1 has announced changes to their daytime schedule as of the first week of January2012.

Between January 2 and January 6, Zane Lowe will host a special breakfast show between 7am and 10am, Annie Mac will take on Fearne Cotton's slot, Huw Stephens afternoons, and Nick Grimshaw will take over during drivetime hours.

Lowe's first role as morning host will be to announce the winner of the BBC Sound of 2012 list on his January 6 show.
Skrillex, Frank Ocean and Azealia Banks have made the longlist for the BBC Sound Of 2011.

The 15-strong list has been collated from the votes of more than 160 music industry tastemakers.

It also features A$AP Rocky, Dot Rotten, Dry The River, Flux Pavilion, Friends and Jamie N Commons.

Lianne La Havas, Michael Kiwanuka, Niki & The Dove, Ren Harvieu, Spector and Stooshe complete the list.
