AC/DC have announced that they have delayed the recording sessions for their next album.
The band, which consists of Malcolm and Angus Young, Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams and Brian Johnson, have put on hold recording follow-up to 2008's Black Ice after one of band members was taken ill.
Frontman Brian Johnson told The Cowhead Show: "Hopefully this year we can get back together again. One of the boys is a little sick. I can't say anything, but he's getting better."
When asked if the illness was terminal, he added: : "No, but just bad. He's doing wonderful. [A] full recovery [is] fully expected."
AC/DC recently hinted that they may return to the road in 2013 to mark their 40th anniversary.
Singer Brian Johnson said that the group are expected to meet shortly to discussing “how we're feeling” about celebrating the landmark.
But the singer admitted that the tour would not be as long as their recent Black Ice World tour, which lasted two years.
