At The Drive-In have no plans to write and record any new material, guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez has confirmed.

The band, who recently announced that they are reforming after 11 years, will make perform at this year's Coachella and Benicassim festival.

"Will there be a new album? No, no, no. At The Drive-In is more of a nostalgia thing – it's songs we wrote when we were all in our 20s and we're doing a couple of shows,''Rodriguez-Lopez told Kerrang!

"It's an old T-shirt that doesn't fit me any more, but when you put it on again, it feels nice. It's as simple as that."

"For the rest of the world, [the reunion] seemed to be out of nowhere, but we've been hanging out for the past four years," he added.

New Order, The Horrors Crystal Castles, Dizzee Rascal, Maverick Sabre, Kurt Vile, Howler Katy B, Example, Spector, Noel Gallagher, Bombay Bicycle Club and Miles Kane will also play at Benicassim festival in Spain from July 12-15 2012.

The Stone Roses will also headline the festival after announcing plans to reunite with a new album and World tour.

Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes were among the acts on the bill at last year's Benicassim festival.
