New images have just been revealed from the new Star Trek film.
The sequel to the 2009 blockbuster stars British actor Benedict Cumberbatch, from BBC's 'Sherlock' and sees Zachary Quinto return as Spock.
In the exclusive image, Cumberbatch lays into Quinto and he lies hapless on the floor. The scene takes place among a space-ship set, complete with green screen and a wind machine. The director of the latest sci-fi blockbuster, JJ Abrams, steps in during the scene to thrash out more moves with the actors.
'Sherlock' actor Benedict Cumberbatch was signed up as the main villain in January, and yesterday said that he was 'honoured' to be working on the movie. When asked about his co-stars, he said: "I think they are brilliant, and it's a real privilege to be on that set… I'm learning a lot. Everybody is so welcoming and gets along with one another."
The movie sees Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana returning as Captain Kirk and Uhuru, while British comic Simon Pegg reprises his role as Scotty.
The as-yet untitled Star Trek sequel will be released in May 2013.
