Guitarist Alex James has told how he and his Blur bandmates were unaware their performance had interrupted Adele's acceptance speech at this year's BRIT Awards.
The talking point of this year's awards bash was host James Corden ushering the Album of the Year winner off stage after uttering only a few words of thanks to allow Blur to begin their performance. James, however, claims he was unaware of the on-screen crisis that marred Blur's TV comeback.
"That's live telly. I don't think it overshadowed anything," the cheese enthusiast told BBC Breakfast. "We were up there backstage and didn't know what was happening until afterwards.
"I think Adele is amazing and has a fantastic career in front of her."
Blur recently admitted they would be performing a new track at their Olympics gig in Hyde Park this summer.
