Happy Mondays' frontman Shaun Ryder has revealed how his drug intake during his nineties heyday makes him feel physically sick when looking back on his time as an addict.
Notorious as once being one of the hardest partying stars on the music scene, the singer has since reformed and looks back on his drug-taking past with regret.
"Just thinking back, about the amount of crack I smoked, just makes me sick," he tells Mojo magazine. "Sick. I mean, literally, gagging. You know, when (you) get food caught in the back of your throat?"
Ryder previously battled addiction to heroin and crack cocaine. Happy Mondays are due to reform in 2012, citing the interest in fellow Manchester band The Stone Roses' reunion.
