Karl Lagerfeld apologises to Adele for 'fat' insult

Karl Lagerfeld has apologised to Adele after he was heard saying she is 'too fat' for his liking.

The fashion designer caused outrage with the comments earlier in the year and saw fans of the '21' star, specifically in the media, turn against him for the cruel taunts.

However, he has attempted to right his wrongs in a grand (and slightly patronising) way by having a batch of Chanel handbags sent to the UK for Adele to have.

According to The Sun, "Karl has been filming for the new YouTube Chanel TV channel and mentioned his plans to patch things up.

"He told his team to send Adele the best the fashion house have to offer after hearing she collected bags. He said he really wanted to make it up to her so they could maybe work together in the future. He could see her fronting a campaign for Chanel Mademoiselle bags when the contract with Blake Lively ends."

"He's annoyed with himself because he ended up insulting her when he meant to compliment her. He thinks she's beautiful and calls her divine."

Meanwhile, Adele has revealed that she will release a new song by the end of 2012 with many suspecting it will be the official James Bond, Skyfall theme tune.
