Robin Gibb is in a coma in hospital today after falling seriously ill last night (April 14).
The Bee Gees star has battled ill health in recent months and things took a turn for the worse on Friday evening (April 13) leading to the star being admitted to hospital in Chelsea, West London.
Gibb, 62, was diagnosed with liver and colon cancer in 2010 and recently saw his health detiorate. Gibb has since been diagnosed with pneumonia and doctors believe a second tumour has become present.
“Our prayers are with Robin. He has kept so positive and always believed he could beat this." a source told The Sun.
Adding: “Sadly, it looks like he has developed pneumonia, which is very bad in his situation. “If there is anyone you would put money on pulling through such a dire situation, it would be Robin because he is a fighter. But this is a battle he will struggle to win.”
Robin's brother Maurice died of a twisted bowel in 2003, aged 53.
