Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre could take the Hologram Tupac show out on tour after impressing with the new technology at Coachella over the weekend.

The legendary rappers used the latest hologram technology to 'resurrect' Tupac for two songs during their headline slot at the Palm Springs festival on Sunday night (April 15). It is claimed that the show was so succesful that offers of new shows have been rolling in already.

Speaking to Wall Street Journal, AV Concepts and Digital Domain Media Group Ed Ulbrich said: “To create a completely synthetic human being is the most complicated thing that can be done.”

Speaking about Hologram Tupac's performance of ‘Hail Mary’ and ‘2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted’ at Coachella, added: “This is not found footage. This is not archival footage. This is an illusion.”

“This is just the beginning. Dre has a massive vision for this.”

AV Concepts and Digital Domain Media Group are the company behind the technology used in the Bradd Pitt movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. They claim the Tupac hologram was made using a mixture of animation based on previous performances and an old reflection technique known as 'Pepper's Ghost'.
