Marina and the Diamonds has cancelled her upcoming UK tour which was expected to start this Thursday in London.
Marina has been forced to make the decision on advice from doctors. The ‘Primadonna’ singer made a full statement to her fans on her website and revealed the news on Twitter.
"It is with huge regret that I have had to postpone my UK tour dates due to medical advice," she tells fans. "I have been experiencing vocal problems for three weeks now and consequently today the Doctor has told me that I cannot sing performance length shows while I undergo treatment, or I could cause permanent damage to my vocal chords."
The singer has claimed she is 'distraught' that The Lonely Hearts Club Tour has been cancelled. The tour has already been rescheduled, set to restart in June this year.
Marina closed her statement saying: "The people who buy my records and concert tickets mean the world to me. I hope you understand that not being able to play for you in May is very upsetting."
The rescheduled dates are as follows:
June 18th | Norwich | Waterfront
June 20th | Glasgow | ABC
