A second seat has been filled on the judging panel of X Factor 2012, with Louis Walsh confirmed to return for this year's series.
Because what the world needs right now is another series of another TV talent show...
Walsh is the second judge to be officially named as making a return for the show's next series, following the announcement of Gary Barlow's return for his second season on the show.
"I’m back! It’s my ninth year on the show and as the only remaining original judge I’m delighted to take my seat once more on the judging panel,” says Walsh in an official statement.
“The show wouldn’t be the same without Louis, I am really happy he is coming back," adds show boss Simon Cowell, who then makes a sly dig at Walsh's less than successful role as a judge and mentor on the show, saying: "I hope he has an opportunity this year to show what an astute manager he is.”
N-Dubz star Tulisa has hinted strongly that she will also return to the show this year, while Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland will not return - with Dannii Minogue and Katy Perry among the many rumoured stars suggested to take her place.
