Girls Aloud singer and Shrek star Kimberley Walsh is to record this year's official Olympics track, a duet with opera star Alfie Boe.

The track, a cover of Queen's 'One Vision', will be premiered at a performance for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Friday 11 May, where the pair will be joined by the Youth Music Voices choir at the Royal Albert Hall. The track will released on the same day.

The track is described as the 'official Team GB and Paralympics GB song' the track marks Walsh's second solo pop venture since Girls Aloud's extended hiatus. She previously scored a Top Ten hit with her Aggros Santos duet, 'Like U Like'.

Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Cole recently revealed plans for Girls Aloud to reunite in November this year to celebrate the group's 10 year anniversary.

“It’s our 10 birthday in November – we all want to do something to celebrate that so watch out," Cole said in an interview with Chris Moyles. "As women we needed this space to grow as people – but it’s been almost three years. We’re active as Girls Aloud, so watch out.”
