Bob Geldof has again criticised his daughter Peaches over her decision to name her newborn son Astala, saying he cannot bring himself to say the name out loud.
Despite having daughters named Peaches, Pixie, Fifi and Heavenly, Bob Geldof was quick to criticise the name Peaches and fiance Tom Cohen, of the band SCUM, chose for their son when he was born in April of this year.
Speaking on ITV's Lorraine yesterday (May 8), Bob remained critical, saying he wanted to name the child after Leonard Cohen. "I wanted to call him Leonard - Leonard Cohen. 'Have you met my grandson Leonard Cohen?'" said Bob. "But he's a fantastic little chap. He is cute and they're really good parents so it's great. They're really happy."
Asked how he feels about the name, Bob stated: "I don't know, I haven't said it yet - I can't bring myself to say it."
However, Bob Geldof is a fan of SCUM, saying he is a big supporter of the band.
"He's a great guy, but importantly he's a fantastic musician - really, really good. I'm so thrilled that I can go to the gigs and not have to say 'that was quite good'. I mean, an amazing band. So it excites me actually, aside from the fact he's Astala's dad," Geldof told Lorraine.
