Beastie Boys classic album 'Licence To Ill' has returned to the US album chart following the death of member Adam Yauch last week.
The album is the highest charting of seven of the band's albums and is currently at No.18 in the US chart. The Beastie Boys albums sold 55,000 copies in the two days after Yauch's death - up from 4,000 the week before.
The band's 'Solid Gold' charted at No.51, 'Paul's Boutique' at No.56 and 'Hot Sauce Committee Part 2' at 107. The band also sold 151,000 digital downloads - up 14,000. Sales are expected to be even higher in next week's chart.
Yauch died of cancer on 4 May, 2012, leading to an outpouring of sympathy fellow music stars the world over. Fans it seem, have shown their support by buying the band's tracks.
The band have also been sued for using apparently illegal samples of tracks from the 'License To Ill' - with a lawsuit filed a day before Yauch's death.
