Keane are celebrating another UK Number One album today after their latest effort 'Strangeland' went straight to the top of the Official UK Chart.

The album is seen by many as Keane returning to their roots and is stylistically closer to their 'Hopes and Fears' debut than anything they have recorded since. The success of 'Strangeland' sees the Hastings three piece earning their fifth straight number one album of their career.

Fellow new entries in the top 40 this week include slots in the top ten for The Cribs and Richard Hawley as well as places lower down for King Charles, My Bloody Valentine, Proclaimers, BOB and Cover Drive.

It was bad news for Damon Albarn though with his challenging opera 'Dr Dee' missing the top 40, landing at a dissappointing 42.

Meanwhile, Rita Ora has the Official UK Singles Chart number one with her track 'RIP' toppling 'Young' by Tulisa.
