Jack Black claims his band Tenacious D deserve more love from critics, but claim the band will be remembered overtheir music rivals in a hundred years time.
In a new interview with Reuters he says his new album, 'Rize Of The Fenix' will be denied the attention it deserves because he and bandmate Kyle Gass are seen as 'clowns'.
"I do love [Jack White's] 'Blunderbuss', I love the Foo [Fighters], I love Tom Waits, his new record is incredible... and Goyte... but our album is better than all of those, and because we're clowns, we don't get that kind of love," said Black. "In a hundred years' time, no-one will remember Gotye or the rest, but the shining beacon of The D - they're going to start religions after us."
However, while critical praise may have eluded the band so far, their new album is on course for No.1 this week, so it's not all bad news...
