US stars dominate album chart as The Wanted claim a No.1 single

 

Joe Bonamassa hits No.1 in the midweek chart

American rocker Joe Bonamassa is set to score a No.1 album this week with his new release, 'Driving Towards The Daylight', according to the midweek charts.

The US star is ahead of fellow countryman John Mayer, who is currently at No.2 in the early chart with his new release, 'Born And Raised'. Adele's '21' is at No.3 while The Enemy score a new album hit at No.4 with their latest, 'Streets In The Sky'.

Other big new entries come from Sir Tom Jones' latest collection 'Spirit In The Room' Which lands at No.7 and Fun., who score an album hit with 'Some Nights' at No.9.

Meanwhile, on the singles chart UK boyband The Wanted are set to score another chart-topper with their new release 'Chasing The Sun', holding Fun.'s 'We Are Young' at No.2. Carly Rae Jepson remains at No.3, Alex Clare at No.4 and Rita Ora lands at No.5.
