Chris Brown has shown an unexpected interest in world politics, speaking on Twitter about his shock at the recent Houla massacre in Syria.
The 'Turn The Music Up' star posted a string of tweets linking to a news article by CNN about the deaths of 90 people in the Syrian village - including 32 children.
"#HoulaMassacre raise awareness team breezy," tweeted Brown, perhaps making himself the first popstar to hashtag a horrendous war crime on the social network, before adding: "Innocent Families and Children should never be slaughtered! We aren't f**king cattle! (sic)"
He continued with tweets that read: "Something must be done!!! Seriously sick individuals who did this! It's Really f**ked up! #HoulaMassacre," and "#HoulaMassarce OMG!!!!! Not cool!"
He urged fans to continue to raise awareness for the Syrian conflict, which has claimed the lives of over 9,000 people since the uprising began in 2011 according to U.N. figures. Opposition groups report casualties of over 11,000.
