Professor Green has said that he didn't need to think twice about supporting The Stone Roses this Summer, calling the request from the band 'jaw-dropping'.
The 'Read All About It' rapper is due to perform with the reformed Manchester band at two of their three Manchester gigs in July after being asked personally by frontman Ian Brown. Telling BBC Newsbeat about how the move came about, Green said:
"Ian Brown invited me himself. We were working on a song for my first album and we never ended up finishing it."
Adding: "Then out the blue I got an email from him saying sorry that didn't happen but would you like to support us? I wasn't going to say no, was I?"
"When someone like The Stone Roses gives you the chance you don't say no."
The Stone Roses made their live return in Warrington last week, performing a short notice gig at Parr Hall.
