Genre-defying Brit band Bloc Party have announced the release of their new album 'Four' and premiered their first new music from the upcoming album. Listen below.

The album will be release on 20 August, 2012 and has been produced by Alex Newport, who previously worked with Death Cab For Cuite, The Mars Volta and At The Drive-In. The album was recorded in New Yotk and it is available for pre-order now on the band's website.

'Four' will be the band's fourth (unsurprisingly) release and their first in four years. The band's last release was their 2008 album, 'Intimacy'.

In a new behind-the-scenes video, the band have premiered tracks from the album. Titles of the tracks are currently unknown, but the new tracks indicate a largely heavier, more rock, direction on the new album, with a raw guitar sound.

Gigwise recently announced three UK dates for June 2012. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
