Mitch Winehouse has defended his decision to sell his late daughter Amy's Camden home.
The three bedroom property was placed on the market earlier this week at a price of around £.2.7m. However, some fans of the 'Back To Black' star have criticised the sale, saying it is not what Amy would have wanted.
Defending the decision, Amy's Father Mitch wrote on Twitter: "It is with regret that we have to sell Amy's house in Camden Square. It is empty and costing a fortune to secure it. Amy and I both worked on the house and she loved it so much. I hope a lovely family buys it as it is so full of love."
Adding: "Some of you are being stupid. It costs £25,000 per month to keep house and security. That's all I have to say on this matter."
It was previously suggested that the property should serve as the headquarters for the Amy Winehouse foundation, a charity set up in the singer's memory.
