Jean-Marie Le Pen has said that Madonna should pay his family $1 million after she brandished a swastika over the face of his daughter during the opening night of her MDNA world tour.

The row between Madonna and the Le Pen's erupted earlier this week when Marine Le Pen, who is currently leader of France's National Front, took exception to Madonna projecting an image of her face with a swastika on it during her gig in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Now Marine's Father, Jean-Marie, has joined the row and demanded financial compensation for the slight.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that Le Pen is urging his daughter to take legal action, saying: "ask Madame Madonna - and everyone who organised her international show - for $1 million".

Marine Le Pen herself was more forthcoming with her insults, saying earlier this week; "We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes,"

Madonna's MDNA tour is due in Paris, France on July 1st.
