Azealia Banks deletes Twitter and is no longer a rapper

'Vocalist' Azealia Banks has deleted her Twitter account and declared that she no longer wishes to be considered a rap artist.

The '212' star, who recently split with Lady Gaga's management and signed her boyfriend as her manager has hit out at the urban media for her online strop.

"As soon as i started paying attention to bullshit urban media, i started getting myself in trouble. From now on i’m a vocalist, and will not be associating myself with the “rap game”... or whatever the f*ck that means..." She tweeted.

"No more twitter for me… it makes me entirely too accessible."

"Catch me on tumblr… it’ll be more interesting."

Earlier in 2012, Bank cancelled a number of UK festival appearances in order to focus on recording her debut album.
