The Stone Roses reunion has hit its first hiccup when drummer Reni last night walked off stage before the end of the Manchester bands set in Amsterdam, leaving the venue before the end of the gig. (June 12)
It is reported that Ian Brown called Reni a 'c**t' for doing this, though it is thought that he could have been joking. It's believed that the drummer was angry at the sound set up in Amsterdam venue Heineken Music Hall and refused to play through the encore of 'I Am The Resurrection'.
Returning to the stage solo, Ian Brown reportedly told the audience that, "I'm not joking, the drummer's gone home." Adding: "Get all your aggro out on me, I can take it. What can I say, the drummer's a c**t."
The Stone Roses Amsterdam show was only the third of their reunion, following gigs in Warrington and Barcelona. The band are due to headline three massive Manchester shows at the end of the month.
