Cheryl Cole is on course to secure the fastest selling single of the year so far with sales of her track 'Call My Name' exceeding all expectations.
The single, Cheryl's first from new album 'A Million Lights', has sold around 97,000 copies in the UK and sent it straight to the top of the midweek positions on the Official Chart, ahead of current number one artist Gary Barlow and his track 'Sing'.
Flo Rida represents Cheryl's biggest competition with his track 'Whistle' also selling well, landing at number two on the midweeks.
Meanwhile, The Voice runner up Tyler James is seeing an immediate benefit to TV exposure with his cover of 'Higher Love' charting at number 30. That's a full 15 positions higher than show winner Leanne Mitchell managed to chart last week.
As reported yesterday, Cheryl Cole has spoken out against the governments failed bid to raise VAT on hot foods, labelling the idea 'crazy'.
