Swedish House Mafia have announced their plans to split up at the end of their current world tour.
The electronic three piece, made up of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, revealed the news via their official website late last night (June 23). Posting online they wrote:
"Today we want to share with you that the tour we are about to go on will be our last. We want to thank every single one of you that came with us on this journey. We came, we raved, we loved."
The news of Swedish House Mafia's split may come as a surprise to many, especially given the group were only discussing their hopes of collaborating with Sir Paul McCartney earlier this week.
Swedish House Mafia are the second electronic giant to call it quits this week after Pendulum revealed that they will no longer be touring or recording new music either.
