Girls Aloud fans hoping for a full comeback from the reality-tv girlband may have to wait a little longer, after singer Sarah Harding revealed plans to launch a solo career in 2013.

Following in the footsteps of Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and some lady called Cheryl Cole, Harding is currently in the process of working on her solo pop bid. "Next year I am preparing for solo material, so watch this space," she told Broadcast Exchange.

The British girl group formed in 2002's UK reality show Popstars: The Rivals. They then took a break in 2009 to allow the individual singers to go down their own separate paths. Some scored success, others struggled.

Harding checked into rehab last year to address her addiction to sleeping pills and had been pursuing a career in film but is now going back to her music roots.
