Iggy Pop is teaming up with Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino to record a song for the hit US TV show ‘True Blood.’
The song is apparently called ‘Let’s Boot and Rally’ and, according to Pitchfork, will receive its radio debut on July 5. The song will appear in the ‘True Blood’ episode which airs a few days later in the US on July 8.
Iggy Pop said about the collaboration: “I've always liked to bite. I guess this makes me a singing vampire, does this mean I have a license to suck? Hi Bethany…”
Bethany also spoke about the collaboration, saying: “What an honor to get to sing with a legend, and for such a fantastic show. What's up Iggy!”
Last year Nick Cave and Neko Case also teamed up on a song for the HBO show, recording a version of The Zombies’ classic track ‘She's Not There.’
