Katy B said she’s moving away from a dubstep sound and trying something poppier on her new album.

The singer is currently working on the follow up to her 2011 debut album ‘On a Mission’ with celebrity producer Mark Ronson.

Katy told the Daily Star that the music would be much less dubstep and house focused, adding: “It's still a dance album but where On A Mission was very much based around dubstep and house music, the new songs are less about repetitive beats.”

She’s also working with producer Geenius as well as Guy Chambers, and said that she finds their professional relationship interesting.

Katy said: “They're from very different worlds, but they get on great because they're both massive geeks about studio equipment.”

Katy previously said that she feels a lot of pressure working on the follow up to her successful debut album.
