The Rolling Stones have updated their iconic band logo for their 50th anniversary in 2012.

Said to be based on Mick Jagger's mouth, the famous image was originally designed by John Pasche in 1971 and has been updated by Shepard Fairey for the current day.

The new design is not massively different to the old one, simply incorporating the landmark of 50 years and changing the 's' and 'o' in the and name for a 5 and a 0.

Earlier this week Keith Richards suggested that he would like to see Jack White produce a new album of Rolling Stones material. Meanwhile, the band were forced to deny rumours that they will headline Glastonbury in 2013.
