Spice Girl Melanie C has spoken of her regret at her numerous tattoos and revealed she is considering laser surgery to have the offending ink removed.

The singer, who has found fame as a musical theatre star since the demise of the girlband and a briefly successful solo career, was famous for her tattoos and tracksuits during the peak of Spice-mania, but has now spoken of plans to remove her tatts. She also says she would discourage her daughter from getting tattooed.

"I’d definitely discourage Scarlet from having tattoos. I’m looking into getting some of them removed," she says in an interview with Good Housekeeping.

"I think it was a great idea to get rid of them for the magazine photos – I wish you could do it permanently," she added after her ink was photoshopped out of the accompanying shots in the magazine interview.

"Of course I have regrets, I wish I could’ve been more carefree in those days – being so young and experiencing something so incredible."

Melanie has a dragon tattooed on her lower leg, a celtic band around her arm and many more among the 11 pieces of bodywork she sports.
