The Noisettes have confirmed details of their new album 'Contact', due for release in August.

'Contact' is the third album from the duo and follows the hugely successful 2009 record 'Wild Young Hearts'.

Speaking about 'Contact', singer Shinghai Shoniwa says: "‘Contact’ for us, is like a film from beginning to end, musically, lyrically, emotionally. The album starts with a big thirty piece orchestra and ends with just Dan and I singing and just the cackling of the wood and the flames of the fire for accompaniment.” 
 
Adding: “This album is very personal to me. When we were writing the album, my mum fought and won her battle with breast cancer.  Like my mum, we’re survivors, we’ve had a lot of knock-backs. There’s definitely a sense of wanting to pick people up in certain moments on the album. We just had to do it, it made me aware of wanting to leave something behind, my legacy.  I wanted my mum to feel like I was never going to give in to a bad situation, it reminded me of what I needed to do and how important it is to make the most of your time here on earth. 

'Contact' will be released on August 27th. The single 'Winner' precedes it and you can see a behind the scenes look at the video shoot to that song beneath the album tracklisting below.
