Adele has spoken of her excitement of becoming a mum, as her break from music looks set to be extended as she steps into the role of a new parent.
The '21' star made the official announcement on her website, announcing the news via a low key blog post.
"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele" wrote the 'Rolling In The Deep' star.
Adele released her huge selling album '21' in 2011, enjoying some of the biggest record sales of the century. She met Konecki toward the end of that year and lives with him near Brighton where he works for a water charity.
