Vampire Weekend are 80% of the way through recording their new album, according to lead singer Ezra Koenig.
oenig gave the studio update during an interview with The Walkmen he conducted for US magazine The Fader. Chatting about his own work, the 'A-Punk' band frontman said: "We're working on our album. It's been a long process. We always try to write and record at the same time."
Adding: "So we've always got some ProTools session demo that tends to actually turn into the finished product. I think we have 80 per cent of the songs now."
Vampire Weekend released their album 'Contra' in 2010, spawning the singles 'Cousins' and 'Giving Up The Gun'.
