Blur last night debuted eagerly awaited new tracks 'Under The Westway' and 'The Puritan' in a live stream on their Twitter feed. The performance was filmed on the roof of Damon Albarn's West London studio.

Damon Albarn's opening lyrics were a fitting, "There were grey skies in the city tonight." before being joined by Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree on the the Bowie-esque piano ballad. Listen 'Under The Westway' below.

'The Puritan', revealed an hour later, showed the other side of Blur - with a jaunty beat and Damon's trademark drawl. Cheese farmer Alex James teamed a suit jacket with shorts for the performance, which was recorded from a location overlooking the Westway of the first track's title. Listen to 'The Puritan' below.

Speaking about the new songs, Damon Albarn earlier this year said: "I wrote these songs for Hyde Park and I’m really excited about getting out there and playing them for people." A limited edition double-A 7-inch single will be released by Parlophone on 6th August. The band recently revealed the artwork for the release, posting the single sleeve on their Instagram account.

The tracks may be the last Blur material, with Alex James recently casting doubt on the band's future.

Under The Westway is available on iTunes now with another song, The Puritan, to be played live at 7:15PM GMT tonight (July 2).
