Justin Bieber has thanked his online critics for adding to his no-doubt impressive bank balance with negative comments left on his YouTube videos.
The 'Boyfriend' singer has hit back at the tide of anti-Bieber sentiment, saying every offensive remark made only boosts his fame and wealth.
"I would say to my haters, I love you. Thank you for supporting me by hating me," said Bieber in an interview with Q magazine.
"When they write messages on my YouTube page, I get money for that. So they’re just giving me money to hate on me."
He also spoke of his love for rock music, saying: "I like Guns N' Roses and Metallica. The Beatles. I like Metallica's 'Fade to Black' and 'One'. It's edgy and emotional with those instruments and electric guitars and stuff."
