The girl who One Direction singer Niall Horan called 'a shower of c****' has thanked the X Factor star for taking the time to speak to her and her friends at Dublin airport.

The youngster, 15-year-old Alannah Gough, has thanked Horan for wishing her a happy birthday - in his own unique style. The Irish 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer swore at Alannah and her friends when they approached him as he landed on home turf at Dublin airport.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Gough said: "Thanks for stopping to talk to us, we love you. See you soon. And if you want to give us backstage passes, it's okay with us!"

Niall Horan's outburst was caught on camera, and the boyband star later took to Twitter to apologise for his foul language.

"Really sorry if I caused any offence. It was just banter with fans who I think of more as mates," he tweeted. "But I understand that it's not a word I should be using at all."

As he walks past the female fans, Horan is filmed saying: "Remember the last time I walked down here? You shower of c**ts."
