Katy Perry's movie 'Part Of Me' has stalled in the US box office chart, failing to dethrone web-slinging superhero blockbuster Spiderman at American cinemas.
The movie made considerably less across the US than movies by rival pop artists Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, both of whom recorded takings of around $20million on their opening weekends.
However, despite poor takings of just $4million on its opening weekend, producers are still set to make a profit - since the film was originally made for just $7.7million.
Spiderman remains No.1 in America, with Oliver Stone's new movie 'Savages' at No.2.
Katy Perry's 'Part Of Me' movie squeezes even more cash out of her 'Teenage Dream ' album, which has so far spawned six hit singles, as it documents her world tour - and break up with Russell Brand.
Perry recently revealed she was forced to choose between her career or marriage - opting to stick with her fans rather than husband, Brand.
