A track expected to appear on MIA's upcoming album has been premiered today. Listen to 'Baby' below.

Produced by William Orbit, 'Baby' is an effect heavy slow burn that lumbers electronically through bleeps, clicks and guitar riffs. Orbit's production seems to give the track a cleaner feel than previous work, and 80's synth samples seem to suggest the artist is moving in a slightly different direction.

Collaboration with Orbit may come as no surprise after M.I.A.'s recent work with Madonna, as of course he worked with Madg on album 'Ray of Light'.

M.I.A. recently premiered new music on Julian Assange's TV show 'The World Tomorrow', and even composed the theme music for the programme. in 2010 she showed support for the Wikileaks founder by releasing an 18 track mixtape called 'Vicki Leekx'.

A follow up album to 2010's 'Maya' is due for release later this year.
