The long-awaited new single from UK indie-rockers Bloc Party is on sale now, with a new video online now. Watch it now.

The simple video shows the band performing in a warehouse space while a troupe of rhythmic gymnasts perform with hula-hoops and ribbons.

The track showcases a stripped-back new sound for the band, focusing on raw guitars and drums over the pounding beats of the likes of 'Flux'. The track also features a guitar solo highly reminiscent of the riff from Daft Punk's classic 'Digital Love'.

Watch 'Octopus' below:

The single is the first to be taken from the band's upcoming fourth album, Four, which is set for release on 20 August, 2012.

'Octopus' will go on sale tomorrow (11 July, 2012) through digital outlets and a limited 7" release will follow on 13 August. The vinyl release will be backed with b-side 'Straight Thru Cru'.

The Octopus single will also come with remixes from RAC and Koreless.

Bloc Party are set to embark on an eight-date tour across the UK in October. Full dates are below. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
