Ellie Goulding told her fans that she was 'beginning a new journey' last night as she premiered a cover of Active Child's 'Hanging On' featuring Tinie Tempah.
The song gives a taste of what could be to come on the follow up to Goulding's debut album 'Lights', due out later this year. The track is a cover of Active Child's stunning original, taken from the 2011 album 'You Are All I See'.
Posting the track on Soundcloud last night (July 10) the streaming site immediately crashed due to the demand for the song. A download link was later posted as substitute.
One fan that Ellie Re-Tweeted was clearly taken with the track, posting: "This song is like a new genre of music, and I f*cking love it."
Goulding recently covered The Weeknd's 'High For This', another song proving that she is moving away from the sugary sweet sound of her first album.
