The release and promotion of Katy Perry's new film 'Part of Me' has seen her sales of her album 'Teenage Dream' increase by 451%, sending her to number two in the US Billboard charts.

The album was originally released almost two years ago, however it sold nearly 80,000 copies last week alone.

Perry's film 'Part of Me' has done nowhere near as well in the movie charts sadly, reaching only number seven in th US box office charts, however it did reach number four in the UK.

Perry's grandmother, Anne Hudson, features in the movie and has recently been doing her bit to help its promotion. It was reported that her and 65 of her 'mature' friends took over an entire cinema for a 3D showing in Las Vegas.

Perry took to Twitter to express her surprise and thanks: "just informed that Grandma took over a whole theter in Vegas". Adding "#gogranny". The singer also recently revealed that Hudson is the real star of the documentary and credits 91 year old with keeping her grounded.
