20 year old American rapper Mac Miller is being sued by Lord Finesse for supposedly using his track 'Hip 2 Da Game' and he has taken to Twitter to reach out to his accusor.
Lord Finesse believes that Miller's break out hit 'Koolaid and Frozen Pizza' which featured on 2010 mixtape, 'K.I.D.S.' directly copies his 1995 track.
On Tuesday Miller was seemed positive about the situation.
"I made that record and video as nothing more than an 18-year-old kid who wanted to rhyme and pay homage, no other intentions, Finesse and I spoke on the phone for an hour after he heard the record and cleared the air. We even planned to work on music together."
However today Miller wrote "I just talked to Lord Finesse. He's still suing me."
The young artist may have thought he could talk his way out of the situation; when the story originally broke, he took to Twitter to announce he "made that record and video as nothing more than an 18 year old who wanted to rhyme and pay homage, no other intentions." However Finesse seems to be showing no signs of pity.
In response to Miller's tweets, Finesse wrote "I appreciate Mac's kind words but his people did not handle his business correctly." He went on to add "you can't take someone else's entire song, shoot a music video and call it your own."
Miller is clearly relishing the promotion that the legal battle giving him, as today he wrote "This is the longest I've trended my whole life. This is awesome."
