Madonna is in for a bumper payday following her current MDNA tour as her worldwide shows are set to become the biggest earning of any female artist, ever.
The world tour has grossed $49.5 million after just 11 shows, and with 70 left, that figure is set to rise to around $450 million, excluding merchandise.
The pop icon's world tour is said to be massively overshadowing other female stars. One promoter told The Huffington Post "Its putting other summer tours, including J Lo's first tour, to shame." They went on to add; "What's so impressive is that she's playing fewer shows than Cher and Lady Gaga, and grossing more."
U2 currently hold the record for the highest grossing tour of all time. Their 2011 '360 Degrees' tour grossed almost $740 million.
If Madonna's tour grosses as expected, she will not only be the most sucessful female performer of all time, but she will replace AC/DC as having the third highest grossing tour in general.
Madonna was performing in Hyde Park last night as part of the 'MDNA' tour.
