If you ever needed an example of how much rock and roll has changed, then Pete Townshend's comments yesterday at a London press conference announcing The Who's 36-date tour of North America should do the trick.
For instance, can you imagine The Vaccines passing comment on The Enemy's manhood or You Me At Six complimenting the genitals of Lower Than Atlantis? No. Us neither.
"What I remember of the size of Mick Jagger's penis - I remember it as being huge and extremely tasty," said Townshend at the press conference, reports Rolling Stone magazine, before referencing bandmate Roger Daltry's 'package'.
"I don't remember anything about Roger's… and wouldn't dare to mention it," he added. "Let's hope that makes the internet."
The focus of the press conference wasn't rock and roll willies however, it was the fact that The Who would be touring their 1973 album Quadrophenia in full on their US tour - which begin on 1 November and finishes 26 February, 2013.
