Katy Perry is facing a court case in India, after claims that her dancing at a cricket event were so sexy, she distracted nearby students from the exams they were sitting.

The bizarre claim has been made by K. Jebakumar, who is pursuing the case under the Indian Penal Code. Katy Perry is accused of 'indecent dancing' with Bollywood star Anitabh Bachchan at the sporting event.

The hearing will take place on 31 July, 2012. The court is acting on claims by Jebakumar that the opening show of the Indian Premier League was 'obscene and lascivious, appealing to purient interest'.

Neither Perry or Bachchan will appear in court for the initial hearing, but if the complaint is found to be justified, Perry may have to take to the stand at a later date to defend her dancing.
