We never thought the day would come when Geri Halliwell would be sharing a bill with Liam Gallagher, but the Spice Girls have confirmed their live reunion to British newspaper, The Daily Mail.
A spokesperson for the band confirmed the performance to the MailOnline after speculation grew following the reunion of the Spice Girls to launch their new musical, Viva Forever.
It was previously thought that Victoria Beckham was unwilling to perform, while Geri, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton were willing to take to the stage for the first time since 2008.
"We are so proud to be English and we are very excited about the Olympics," said Beckham yesterday in an interview with RTE Radio. "I don’t know about a comeback tour but I loved being back with the girls. There was a lot of fun, we did so much together and we’ll see. If they’re up for something then I certainly am."
The Spice Girls join Liam Gallagher and Beady Eye - who will be performing a new version of Oasis' classic 'Wonderwall', produced by Bond theme producer David Arnold - The Who, Kaiser Chiefs, Take That, George Michael and Emeli Sande.
