World famous artist Damien Hirst has created and contributed two pieces of artwork to a raffle in aid of Strummerville: The Joe Strummer New Music Foundation.

Hirst has modified and painted a Fender Telecaster and Eastwood acoustic guitar, and both will be given away this summer as part of the 10th anniversary tribute to Strummer.

Tickets for the raffle are £20 each and are available from www.strummeroflove.com. Attendees at the Strummer Of Love festival are able to purchase tickets for £10, with the winners announced at the event by Clash guitarist Mick Jones on Sunday, 16 August, 2012.

Talking of his involvement with the charity and festival, Hirst says: "I love Strummerville and have supported it since it started ten years ago as it gives kids and adults the opportunity and platform to create and record music for a wider audience.

"I hope that by donating these two guitars much needed funds can be raised to help carry on supporting the brilliant work they do."

Strummerville takes place on 17-19 August, 2012 and features artists such as The Pogues, Seasick Steve and Frank Turner. Tickets are on sale now. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
