The xx performed their new single 'Angels' for the first time on TV last night, playing the track on Conan O'Brien's US TV chat show.

The trio played the song in a typically sombre performance, hiding in the shade and keeping it cool. Jamie Smith, normally lost behind a box of electronics, was playing as almost a straight up drummer for the TV spot.

Congratulating the band on their performance, Conan says afterwards "Nice job!".

'Angels' is taken from the London band's forthcoming second album 'Coexist', due for release in September.

A full album tracklisting for 'Coexist' has also been revealed, see that below:

01 Angels
02 Chained
03 Fiction
04 Try
05 Reunion
06 Sunset
07 Missing
08 Tides
09 Unfold
10 Swept Away
11 Our Song

Meanwhile, The xx this week announced details of three small-scale gigs they will play in the UK on the week of 'Coexist's release. Tickets for the shows are on sale now. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
